We will also visit 2 more exhibits - The Avengers Station in Las Vegas and the Avengers Campus in Disneyland.  Let's get started!

Western Comic Book Heroes

All of our comics below are available at the Digital Comic Museum.  Just click on the linked character's name and go to the first issue of the comic. As you read the comic books, just look for the small numbers at the bottom of the page with the arrows to turn the pages.  There is no need to download in order to read the comic book.

Captain Flash was actually Keith Spencer, a science professor who lived in Atom City (somewhere in the western US).  He was teaching a class when an experiment with radioactivity went wrong.  He shielded his students with his own body, absorbing all the radiation.  He survived but he knew that the radiation would kill him and he prepared for a slow, painful death.  However, the radiation made him feel stronger and faster.  He ran several experiments and realized that when he clapped his hands, it set off a miniature atomic explosion within his body.  He became taller and stronger.  He used these powers to fight anyone who tried to use the power of the atom for evil purposes.

Straight Arrow is the son of a great Comanche warrior.  He was orphaned at the age of 10 when he is the only survivor of a massacre of his village by white bandits and another Indian tribe working together.  He was wounded during the massacre and makes it to the Adams ranch where he recovers and is adopted by the owners as their son.  He inherits their ranch which he renames the Broken Bow Ranch.  When anyone plots against justice, Steve Adams enters a cave hidden on his ranch and Straight Arrow appears riding his golden palomino horse, Fury.  A prospector, Packy McCloud, is the only person who knows who Straight Arrow really is.

Captain Science, also known as Gordon Dane, is an American physicist who is a hero that is similar to Buck Rogers.  He fights outer space villains including flying saucers, monster gods, alien spawn, and domestic traitors.  He does not have super powers but he does have space science.

We have two exhibits that we want to visit in the west.  The first exhibit is the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N in Las Vegas!  In this exhibit you can explore the history, science, engineering, genetics, technology, and profiles of Captain America, Hulk, Thor, and Iron Man.  This is an interactive exhibit and your goal is to assemble case files on each of the characters and move on to become a qualified member of the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N.!

Our second exhibit stop is the Avengers Campus at Disneyland in California!  This is a new Land at the Disney Adventure park.  Experience Powered-up attractions with missions for you to complete, Heroic encounters where you meet today's superheroes, and Epic Experiences in the Pym Test Kitchen & Shawarma Palace.
