Sometimes as you search our article databases, you will discover an article that looks like it is perfect to use in answering your research question. You go to the bottom of the description and you see "Request through Interlibrary Loan". This means that we do not have access to the full text of the article on campus, but that the library can request the article from another library for you and it will still be free to you.
To let us know that you would like this article, just click on the "Request..." link.
- A form will appear and the information on the article will already be filled in for you
- Scroll to the bottom of the form to the section that says "About My Request"
- Fill in the Need by date in the correct format
- Be sure to give us 10 days so the system has time to request it from other libraries. We usually get it sooner, but 10 days is there for the more difficult articles to retrieve.
- Scroll down to the "My address and contact information" section and fill out all of the boxes that are starred
- First Name
- Last Name
- Patron ID - please be sure to put the letters 'kc' in front of your ID number - Example: kc123456
- Email Address - please be sure to use your KCU email address not your personal email address
- Mobile phone - This is optional.
Remember to check your KCU email. Article requests are sent directly to your email address. You do not need to come to the library to pick them up.
For assistance, please contact the library.
