Do you need a password to use our catalog? The answer is yes and no!
NO - Anyone can click on our Catalog link and search our resources. If you are in the library, you will be able to locate print materials within the building and you can identify database articles and e-books within the building. An account can be created for you in the library so that you can check out books.
YES - If you are not in the library when you do a search or if you want to open e-books and electronic journal articles, you will need a password. This is because these subscription databases require you to identify yourself as a KCU student, faculty, or staff member in order to access them.
Current KCU Students, Faculty, and Staff - If you are a current KCU student, faculty member, or staff member, you currently have an account in our new Library Catalog. This allows you to check out items from the library.
Incoming Freshmen - If you are a new student, faculty, or staff person, we will be setting up accounts for you as soon as we receive information that you are enrolled. If you would like to check a book out as soon as you get to campus, this is not a problem. We can create an account for you. Stop by the library and a supervisor will set one up for you.
