This winter we will be exploring Leavenworth, Washington.
For those of you not from the Pacific Northwest, Leavenworth is located on the east side of the Cascade mountains in Washington State.
The city attracts many visitors year round thanks to its Bavarian style attractions.
During the winter, Leavenworth turns into a Christmastown where there are Christmas lights lit up from Thanksgiving weekend until February and special festivities every day.
This vacation we will explore the town by seeking out different types of experiences. From the Bavarian experience to the family experience, and definitely the Christmas experience.

Leavenworth History
The Leavenworth of today began around the early 1960's.
After a few decades of hardships, town leaders made a decision to transform Leavenworth into a Bavarian town.
Through much construction and creation, Leavenworth was converted into a destination spot for tourists.
