The Louvre in Paris, France is considered to be the largest museum in the world and is also the most-visited museum in the world.  This art museum is home to some of the most famous works of Western art, one of which is the Mona Lisa.  The museum opened on August 10, 1793.  It now contains approximately 500,000 objects and displays and 35,000 works of art. The museum dedicates over 652,000 square feet to its collection.  In 2023, it had 8.9 million visitors. (From Wikipedia - Louvre - Wikipedia)

While we cannot travel to Paris for the day,  they have some wonderful virtual tours.  Click on the link or on the image above to explore their tours.  Watch for the arrows on the edges of the screen.  They will help you look around the entire room.  Look for the pulsing circles ahead of you to move from room to room and to get up close to the pieces of art.  Remember that the Louvre is located in France.  If you try to read the display information on any item, it will be in French.  If there is an item that you are interested in, just paste the name into Google to get more information.
