Many cultures have rolls with some kind of stuffed filling. This holds true for all four of our language areas of Europe. While few of us make croissants from scratch, our crescent rolls in the grocery store remind you of the shape. Think of your own combinations and try them out also!
NOTE: Just a quick note about sausage and rolls. Any type of sausage will work in crescent rolls. The type of sausage you use will determine what language area it comes from.
