If you are conducting research and cannot find enough information on your topic, you can use Interlibrary Loan to locate items in other libraries to complete your research project. With our new system, you can do this on the same screen as your other searches. You will not need to go to a different catalog or link to find these resources.
For example, you could search for a science topic such as Genetically modified foods. Since it is a science topic, you would want materials published within the last 5 years. If you filter your results for print books you would see that there are only 5 print books available on this topic in the library and none of them have a publication date within the past 5 years.
Look in the left hand column at your filters and under the "Library" drop down, select "Libraries Worldwide". Set your date range to "Last 5 years". You will now have 210 results to select from.
To place your Interlibrary Loan request:
Fill in the pink highlighted boxes. These are required fields. Click on the submit button at the bottom and you will be notified by email when your item arrives at the library.
