Monet and his family moved to Giverny, France in 1883. He eventually purchased the property that they lived on. This is the site where he painted his Water Lilies series. Not only did he paint the gardens around his home, but he also designed and created them, including the bridge over the water lilies pond. His home and gardens were turned into a museum after his death. Click on this link - Gardens - for a video tour of the gardens at Giverny. Then click on this link - Virtual Tour in Fall - where you can walk around the gardens virtually in the fall!
