Komodo Dragons

Bengal Tigers

Arabian Oryx

This animal, once extinct in the wild, was saved thanks to the conservation efforts of numerous zoos (this is why zoos are important!). The Arabian Oryx is highly regarded in many Arabic countries, and is the national animal for a few of them, such as Jordan. Learn more about these animals - very much alive today - below!
