Nursing Resources

This guide will tell which resources are available for your information needs to complete your assignments. It will also tell you how to identify and locate the resources

Nursing Books

Nursing Print Books

Nursing print books can be located on the shelves in the library.  The library uses the Dewey decimal system to organize books.  This is a system that is probably used at your local public or school library.  These books can be checked out by students.  Books that have a blue sticker over the spine label are reference books.  These books can never leave the library and must be used within the building.  For online students, book pages can be scanned and emailed or the entire book can be shipped directly to you.

Helpful Hint: Book pages can be scanned for free on library copiers or photographed with a smart phone.  These
scans or pictures can be saved in a research folder to be used at a later time.

Nursing Print Journals

There are approximately 15 print Nursing journals available in Young Library.  Journals never leave the library but pages can be scanned and saved to a research folder.  Online students may request articles be scanned and emailed to them.
