How to find your KCU Resources Barcode/Password and KCU PIN #

Young Library is able to provide off-campus access to subscription databases using an offsite proxy server.This will identify you as a KCU student.

To get to these resources go to https://www.kcu.edu/library

  1. Select “Research” in the column on the left
  2. Select “Databases” in the column on the left
  3. Select the database that is of interest to you
  4. When the authorization screen appears, type in:
    1. Barcode/Password
      1. This is the last six digits of your student ID number preceded by the letters “kc”. 
      2. Example: kc123456
    2. KCU PIN#
      1. This is your first initial and your last name, all lowercase
      2. Example: jsmith

Off-Campus Access


Database name/username, barcode/pin

Some of our databases, such as Gale, will ask for name/username and barcode/password.  This same information will be needed for any Interlibrary Loan request that you make.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This info is slightly different than what you're used to seeing.

Name/username takes the place of the KCU Pin #. To log on, enter the info as you see below:

Name/username – last name only, first letter capitalized (Smith)

Barcode/password – kcID (kc123456)
