Personal Librarian Meeting

Welcome to Kentucky Christian University's Young Library.  This guide is designed to provide a quick reference to materials that were covered in your Personal Librarian Meeting.  

I encourage you to contact a librarian whenever you need help. Since this guide is a review, feel free to click on any of the tabs to review the concepts.

Remember that there are 3 helpful tools on our Research page that will help you access information and complete your assignments.

• At the top of the page you will see a link in red labeled : How to find your KCU Resources  – Off Campus Access. This will help you to set up your own password to access library resources
  • Your Username is the letters "kc" followed by your ID number.
  • Your KCU Password will be whatever you choose.
• In the middle of the page you will find a 7 step Research process.  If you have never written a research paper before, this can help you get started.  If you have written at least 1 research paper in the past, you might want to use this to help you generate ideas if you are not finding the results that you wanted.
• At the bottom of the page you will see a "Assignment Calculator from the University of Minnesota".  This will help you to space out the work that will be needed on a research paper from the day the assignment is made until the day that it is due.

Purpose

This guide will help you to quickly locate information covered during your personal librarian meeting.  The personal librarian meeting is designed to help you retrieve the information you need and then utilize it to complete your course assignment.
