Historic Fort Snelling is located outside of St. Paul, Minnesota. It is a former US Army fortification that was designated as a Military Reservation. It is located where the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers meet. It is a National Historic Landmark and is on Dakota Indian homeland. The National Eagle Center is located on the banks of the Mississippi River in Wabasha, MN. It is the home of several non-releasable bald and golden eagles. There are several online programs available for you to view the eagles up close! The upper Mississippi River Valley is home to hundreds of bald eagles. The Minnesota Marine Art Museum is located in Winona, MN. It's mission is to "engage visitors in meaningful visual art experiences through education and exhibitions that explore the ongoing and historic human relationship with water." It has displays of both traditional marine and modern art.
