TECHNOLOGY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR KCU STUDENTS
Kentucky Christian University strongly recommends that each student purchase a personal laptop or equivalent device. A student’s program requirements, budget, and preference should be the primary factors when choosing a device. Most modern computing devices will meet basic student computing needs such as typing papers and access course management systems.
NOTE 1: Chromebooks and Tablets - Devices such as Chromebooks and tablets will not run traditional desktop apps. Please check with your department/major about any specific software requirements before purchasing new devices.
NOTE 2: Operating Systems - Operating systems can have a significant impact on software program access. If your primary operating system is not Microsoft Windows, which is supported by KCU, software required by individual programs may not download, or may not work correctly. In this case, please consult with your course professor and the library director to utilize available library resources for these software programs.
