Locating Books in Libraries Near You

Young Library is happy to ship items to you.  However, sometimes you will need a final resource just before an assignment is due.  There may not be enough time to mail an item to you.  One option is to locate items in libraries near you.

  • Go to http://www.worldcat.org/
  • Type in your subject or a specific title into the search box
  • Click on the title of the item that you are interested in
  • Under "Find a Copy in the Library". Enter your Zip code in the "Enter Your Location" box
  • Click on "Find Libraries"

A list of libraries and the miles away from your current location will be presented to you.  Most libraries will let you use materials in their facility.  Young Library also has several agreements with academic libraries that will allow you to check out materials from their libraries by providing your KCU student information.  Young Library is happy to contact any library if additional information is needed.

Using nearby libraries can save you time and money due to shipping and may be a good solution for your research needs.  Please contact a librarian if you have any additional questions.
