Archives Access Policy

Archives Access Policy

Due to the delicate nature and historical importance of the KCU Archives ALL materials must remain in the Archives at ALL times.

In the interest of professionalism and preparation for future research at other institutions, you must meet with the librarian in charge of the archives before you access any materials. Our archives are a work in progress.  By meeting with the librarian, you will be able to help us as we help you.

There is an Archival Catalog to assist you in finding certain items. It is located in a clear plastic crate at the far end of the table area.

If you are doing historical research, you must confine your materials to the two study carrels in front of the windows.

If you are working with a group of students, materials may be taken to the Hoven Restoration Room if it is not in use.

When you are finished with your materials please place them in the designated place so that we can make sure they are returned to the correct location.

All inquiries should be directed to Naulayne Enders (nenders@kcu.edu).

Almost every semester a student asks to review old Student Handbooks for policy changes.

All of the Student Handbooks have been scanned and are available digitally to you upon request.

Please be aware that testing is often conducted in the Hoven Room and at the table in the Catacombs just outside of the Hoven Room door. If testing is in progress absolute silence will be expected.
