ABOUT THIS STEP

All direct quotations, paraphrases, and ideas that your get from the authors of your research, must be acknowledged both within your research project and at the end of it in a bibliography.

In APA style and MLA style, you will need to do an In-text citation which is a shorter version of the citation on your Reference/ Works cited page.

In Chicago, Turabian, and Society of Biblical Literature Styles, you will need to provide Footnotes.

HOW TO DO IT

To Add an In-Text Citation:

  • Open your ZoteroBib in the Edited version
  • At the end of each citation you should see an icon that looks like a quotation mark.
  • Click on the icon,
  • You can now add page numbers and make any adjustments to your in-text citation.
  • Click on "Copy Citation"
  • Open your document and place your cursor where the in-text citation needs to appear
  • Right click and paste your citation
  • Your in-text citation should now be visible.

HOW TO DO IT

To Add a Footnote:

  • Open your ZoteroBib in the Edited version
  • At the end of each citation you should see an icon that looks like a quotation mark.
  • Click on the icon.
  • You can now add page numbers and make any adjustments to your Footnote citation.
  • Move to your document and click on the location where you need to add a footnote.
  • In Google docs, go to "Insert" and select "footnote"
  • A superscript number should appear on your document and the cursor should have moved down to the bottom of the page with the matching number at the bottom of the page.
  • Right click and paste the footnote
  • You should now have a correctly inserted footnote in your document
