NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN FLUTE MUSIC

"The Flute Player" by Edwin Willard Deming, born Ashland, OH 1860-died New York City 1942 is marked with CC0 1.0.

Native American Indian music is used in celebrations, in spiritual moments, and in everyday life.  One common instrument was the flute.  It is still used by many different tribes.  The article Native American Flutes: From History to How-To by Paul G at PowWows.com has some great information on the history of flutes, the legends that showed how the flute was developed, and how the flute was developed into what is used today.
